Welcome to one of Australia’s oldest, yet most innovative schools! We invite you to learn and be inspired!

We are proud to offer a number of opportunities that contribute to the professional learning of the wider educational community. Our professional learning programs assist teachers, principals, members of school boards, architects and other professionals in gaining an understanding of contemporary research and innovative practice. You are invited to tour our award winning facilities and at the same time learn from the Claremont staff team as we share with you, the story and journey of our fabulous school that spans across three different centuries… over 130 years and today we are leading the global change in education.

SPOTLIGHT TOUR

  • Welcome session with the Principal, Mr Doug Thomas
  • Presentation about our philosophy of teaching and learning, including co-teaching and flexible learning spaces
  • Tour of school

  • COST: $100 per person plus GST. Includes morning tea.
  • Tour time: 9:30 - 11am, 3:30-5pm.

 

HALF DAY PROGRAM

  • Welcome session with the Principal
  • Presentation about our philosophy of teaching and learning, including co-teaching and flexible spaces
  • Tour of school

Choice of:

  • Observe teachers in action using co-teaching model or
  • Choice of workshop led by Claremont Senior Executive:

    - Leading the process of change management with staff and parents
    - Our top 20 tips for creating a flexible learning spaces including suppliers and furniture ideas
    - Models of co-teaching including creating a culture of professional collaboration
    - Creating a culture of thinking and learning skills
    - The IP Process (Individualised Student Learning Plan), at Claremont College. Meeting the needs of students with disabilities: Making adjustments through flexible learning spaces
    - Sustainability and Environmental Education: The Claremont College model and initiatives. Transforming an ‘old school’ into a ‘green school’
    - Building resilience through classroom design that focuses on relationships
  • Cost: Price on enquiry. Includes morning tea.
  • Tour time: 9:30am - 12:30pm.

 

FULL DAY PROGRAM

  • Meet and greet with the Principal

  • Tour of school
  • Spend time with teachers in action using our co-teaching model
  • Choice of workshop: *

WE CAN VISIT YOUR SCHOOL

After school workshop at your school:

  • Pedagogy: Our co-teaching model
  • Thinking & Learning Skills
  • Our IP Process: Meeting the needs of students with disabilities
  • Flexible Spaces and technology
  • Cost: $1200+ (depending on the needs of your school).
  • Two Claremont staff will present and facilitate a 1.5 to 2 hour workshop.
    Content of these presentations will be tailored to meet the needs of your school.
