Extra Curricular
Where learning extends beyond the classroom.
Our extensive Extra Curricular Program provides a wide range of opportunities for every child to explore their curiosity and creativity. From sports and performing arts to music and academic enrichment activities, held both before and after-school. Our experiences are designed to not only challenge children, but inspire them to try new things.
From the arts, to tech, to games of strategy, our activities develop skills beyond the curriculum.
Children don’t have to wait for the school bell to start learning. Our Morning Skills program gives them an active, confident start to the day, with sports like Football, Tennis, Martial Arts, Basketball, AFL and Athletics on offer before school begins (K–6). Programs may vary from year to year.
We inspire creative children to get moving with Dance from REDedDance (K-6), or explore the visual arts with hands-on activities at Class Artz Academy’s Junior Art School (K-6).
At Code Camp, students in Years 2-6 dive into coding, Minecraft engineering, animation, design and robotics.
At Chess Club, students sharpen their strategy with coaching from the Sydney Academy of Chess, while lunchtime chess classes prepares keen players to represent Claremont at the annual schools’ competition.
Through debating, students can build confidence and discover their voice, supported by debating coaching from Masters Academy.
Our French and Mandarin programs introduce students to new languages and cultures through fun, interactive activities, helping to build communication skills and a love of language.
Somewhere in here is your child’s new favourite interest.
At Claremont, music, sport, art, chess and drama aren’t ‘add-ons’, they’re an integral part of every student’s week; because every opportunity to try something new is an opportunity to grow in confidence and curiosity.
